When your heart is crying for change, but your scared & everyone says, "You can't" Ask "Why Not?"
When you think of Handmade or Homemade what do you think of?
My Husband, Rocky, and I grew-up in a remote small countryside town, in Star Valley, WY, building, hunting and growing almost everything, we needed. I learned at a very early age handmade was not cheap nor poor quality, despite many common stereo typical beliefs. Handcrafted items are a higher quality item. They are made with blood, sweat, tears and lots of time. Crafted and designed with a true pride, while holding a touch of the maker's heart in every nook and cranny of every piece. We are proud to be a handcrafted business focusing more creating something as unique as you are, enjoying the journey of making each item and an eye always on the finial quality of the produce.
We are thrilled to now be able to bring our one-off products to you, too! Do you love history? We love history, too! We are passionate about keeping history alive & be True to our hearts. We especially, like the Wild West Mining in America era.
Let me tell you a little story. In 2014 our lives hit an all-time new low. We had devoted every minute and ounce of energy to just keeping the bills paid. We were tired of others telling us we couldn't live our lives, others raising our kids and running from one job to the next. Enough was enough.
We sold our home, almost everything we owned, quit our jobs and moved our family of 5 (at the time) into our camp trailer. For a year we lived in the backcountry of the Western States of America. Gem & Gold mining, teaching our kids old time skills, about nature and self-reliance.
It was the adventure that finally gave us the courage to start living our lives our way. No more hobby work for our neighbors, but officially opening our little mobile business in 2016, in Afton, Wyoming originally as Western Wonders: Rocks, Gems & More.
Our shop was born from an image we wanted to someday build using our love of the art of handcrafting something old into something new again with a deep commitment to do it as a family, no matter what happened.
An old friend once said my drawing of the brick-and-mortar store we want to someday build looked like "Women in Toyland" (P.S. you guys are welcome to, drawing men is just not my strong suit, lol). Someday in the next few years this place will rise from the ground. Full of unique stylish old-fashioned souls setting their own modern beat to life with our historical fun, events, learning, antiques and awesome countryside rustic industrial products and digital courses available locally and across the USA.

Our Community Drive Program
We used to only know a life of work hard and when times get tough, you set aside your personal joys and work even harder. The self-limiting trap of working and money are the first priority above all else, instead of your personal and family's happiness and health being first priority.
What sounds wrong about that? Have you ever put work and bills above your own well-being, too? It was so extremely difficult to accept in "real life" the notion, in order to be the best, we could be, no matter what it was we were doing, we had to stop working and start living first!
Here's the simple facts of what I learned! You cannot continue to work nor be at the top of your game, if you are not taking care of yourself first! If you're working to the point of excastion, not getting enough sleep, not eating healthy, not physically moving enough, or taking a moment (even if it's just 5 minutes) each day to do something you enjoy, you are setting yourself up for burnout and failure! I know how hard life can be and the affects it can have on one's mental, emotional, spiritual and physical wellbeing. That is why we give back to our community when and how we can. We put aside funds into our community jar to help cover our expenses into helping our neighbors/members in our community who are struggling through hard times by provide essential items, help and bring comfort during their hard times.
Some of my favorite memories have been the heartfelt reactions from single Moms who haven't stop to take a beat for themselves, in who knows how long. Who has been doing everything she can to provide for her children, who don't fully understand just how hard she is working for them not because of the money, but because she loves them with all of her heart. She feels as if no one sees her nor cares. She's working 2 or 3 full time jobs because she wants to give her kids a real home of their own with her, where she can give them a healthy, happy childhood with love. Personally, delivering to her front door on her schedule with dinners, fresh home baked goods and/ or customized gifts handcrafted special for each person in the house, especially at Christmas. For the person, who until a week before didn't even know anyone had noticed her struggles, to them opening the door to a box full of goods just for them, or a clean home and dinner on the table for the individuals struggling to even have time or energy left at the end of the day for anything more than a standard grab and go meal and straight to bed.
To my live fed fundraiser classes to bring awareness of the struggles with surgeries looming overhead. Baking and teaching in real time live while talking about their real stories and hardships.
Christmas is my favorite drive when we adopt at least one family. With personalized crafted gifts and home baked goodies because it's not about the money it's about the people we can help with it. I know what it is like to feel as if you are alone, the depression, the heartache, the misunderstandings, and what it feels like when someone stops special to take time out of their day to acknowledge you! There are no words to describe what it feels like just to have someone take notice of you when you feel invisible!
Please excuse our messy reused packaging. We strive to be a low to no waste business. Package all our items in Upcycling and reusing all of our old packaging, boxes. We truly hope you can feel our passion and our love in our work.
Our stones are fair mined including those not gathered personally by ourselves. All of our Wood-based products are made from reclaimed lumber, old scrap/excess lumber from construction sites with our local contractors, or forest fire/bug killed trees we have logged ourselves. We very seldom purchase new lumber for a build. We outsource pieces parts only when we must, from other USA based businesses, whenever possible.
We thank you, so very much, for reading our story. We hope that we can inspire you or give you hope to not give up on your dreams, no matter how hard life gets! When your world comes crashing down on you in a way you never even imagined possible. That is when you find that there is a strength hidden deep inside of you that will change your world beyond your craziest, wildest, and most ambitious dreams! Hold on, because you never know when it can instantly change.
