About the Reclaimed Cedar Wood Base
The wood comes off a cedar deck with a small arched bridge my Dad built in a baby tree garden when I was just a little kid. As the trees grew bigger and around the deck it always reminded me of reading the Secret Garden. I would imagin as I walked across the little arched bridge I was entering into my own fairy filled Secret Garden. I'm so honored my family called on me when years of the eliments bearing down on it and the now massive trees had left it in a dilapidated state to take the wood. I little peice of happy childhood memories I now can breathe new life into for you.
What are Orthoceras fossils?
Orthoceras are a cephalopod that thrived during the Devonian period. That is roughly 350 million years ago! Until this particular group became extinct approximately 190 million years ago, during the last mass extinction of the dinosaurs. During the Devonian area, now day Morocco, was a shallow sea where these straight siphuncle shelled creatures thrived.
What are Ammonite
Ammonite is a type of extinct mollusks. They died out around the Cretaceous Period, roughly 65 million years ago. This group of Ammonites lived for about 330 million years in the Atlas Mountain region of Morocco.
